ok not going to dwell on that part of the story...i came across this story of trish, peter and leo via lovely morning. it's a really beautiful video of their child being born (not gory) in a birthing tub. this wonderful woman was in labor for 57 hours and looks cool as a cucumber. what an inspiration! check out the video here. also, i might think about a birthing tub next time around. if there is a next time around.

i'm pretty much obsessed with this artist M. Sasek ever since haley and i came across a book of his at a vintage shop on fairmount ave. he is did a whole series of This is... series of childrens books and i want to collect them all.
i love this so much. too bad it's $4,500. the artist is ben shahn. check it. speaking of supermarkets, zach and i just went the other day, spent $187 and still don't seem to have anything to eat...
some friends and i went to see the gee's bends quilts exibit at the philadelphia art museum today. it was really awesome and i definitely recommend checking it out sometimes. and for those of you who are on a budget, sundays' admissions is "donate what you wish". for more information on the gee's bend quilts, go here. this exibit inspired me to finally make that quilt i've been thinking about. we'll see if i actually follow through with it!
oh joy! just featured this work on her blog a few days ago. the artist's name is jason munn of the small stakes. pretty neat, i must say.
it's been raining a lot here in philly. during yoga, there was a torrential downpour. when class was over and i was walking to my car, this was my view. i stopped for a moment to enjoy the peacefulness i had from yoga and to take in the beautiful sky.
