before and after

When i bought this house 4 years ago, this was the state of the room that would eventually become our babies room...and here we are now, fully renovated and waiting for baby. it's hard to take good pictures since the room is so small but you get the idea. it's amazing what a little vision, patience, sweat, tears, money and a great contractor can do! i made the curtains myself (thanks for jenna for helping pick out some great fabric), used the my grandmothers old bedroom furniture (reduce, reuse, recycle), hung some vintage art that i've collected over the years as well as some local artist's work (thanks melanie!), and splurged on monte rocker. i love every inch of this room. there are more pictures but i can't seem to get blogger to link up with my flickr account. this will have to be good enough for now...

before

our kitchen renovations begin tomorrow! i can't believe it. this is a picture of what the kitchen looked like when i bought the house. and sadly, it hasn't been much improved since then. other than a good scrubbing and painting everything white to give the illusion of clean. supposedly the project will take about 2 weeks. fingers crossed that's the case.
tomorrow also marks my first day NOT as an urban outfitters employee and my first day as owner/operator of LeanGreenClean. ahhhh! new beginnings all over the place.
