meat cake

it was my friend seth's birthday and his brother made him a meat cake. yup, you read correctly - meat cake. a cake made out of meat. different kinds of pate, wrapped in bacon, garnished with gerkins. when they cut into it, the smell was so overpowering i had to step outside. it was pretty much the most disgusting food item i've ever seen but you also have to marvel in the beauty of it...

i saw this conversation on facebook today and laughed. ah so many nights wasted at denny's in my early years ordering only french fries and water and sitting for hours and hours. oh and the downingtown denny's was waaaay cooler than than reading denny's. but unfortunately the reading one was a lot closer.

where's the cabbage??

i've really been into taking pictures of hand made signs recently. i am impressed by people's creativity...or lack there of...this picture was taken at the wal-mart in virginia. the need for the sign implies that there was more than one person asking for cabbage.
