meat cake

it was my friend seth's birthday and his brother made him a meat cake. yup, you read correctly - meat cake. a cake made out of meat. different kinds of pate, wrapped in bacon, garnished with gerkins. when they cut into it, the smell was so overpowering i had to step outside. it was pretty much the most disgusting food item i've ever seen but you also have to marvel in the beauty of it...

jeremy's sweet dance moves

i was recently going through a bunch of old photos on my computer and noticed a running theme - jeremy has some sweet dance moves!!

this photo just resurfaced thanks to kelly. a few years ago she and i used to take this tae bo class at our gym. our teacher sent out an email inviting people to take part in a taping of a promotion for billy blanks workout on QVC. kelly secretly signed us up and told me days later. needless to say i was freaked out!! but she wouldn't let me back out. we trained our butts off and finally the day arrived. when we got the the QVC studios we realized we were the only ones that were NOT tae bo instructors. we decided to hide all the way in the back corner thinking we'd be safe. was i wrong. turns out i was on camera 3 or 4 times!!! to this day i don't know how i got through it.

so tired

bridget and i took the dogs for a long walk in the wissahickon park on saturday. they had so much fun and we all got some good exercise in as well as some good conversation. lola was quite pooped on the way home. i love this puppy.

holiday weekend

this weekend was spent in morgantown and was filled with eating contests, camping, outdoor movies, flea markets, family and friends. i wish we could do this every weekend.
