i would see this sign when i would drive down 5th street to get home. and every time it made me laugh. that's what inspired me to create this blog. and it only took me about 2 years to actually take a picture of it.
i love this no nonsense sign. it was a rest stop in west texas. i wish i would have had time to go inside. i bet the interior is awesome. next time...oh wait...i'm never going back to texas
oddly enough, girard decorators seems to be out of business. i really wish i knew what the rest of this sign said before it was painted over.
ok this one is a little different but still the beak up of park and -ing. i do love this sign though. it's one of many cute things about rhinebeck.
i've been noticing it's pretty much the norm to break up "park" and "-ing" onto 2 different lines when making a "no parking" sign. interesting. also, is "no parking" sign a misuse of quotes????
another gem from the strongman competition. still doesn't compare to the tattoo t-shirt. but points for creativity, i guess.
ok so this is only sort of handmade. but i love it just the same. it's in the office lobby so it's a constant reminder every time i come in. doubt that was intentional but it works for me.
taken at a pizza shop in bridgeport. kind of a strange place to buy a fax machine but whatevs - it's going for cheap. hopefully they found a seller.
in keeping with my handmade signs theme, here is a display of our wedding place cards. my mother (who has perfect penmanship!) spent a good few hours the night before the wedding handwriting each guest's name and table number. much appreciated momma g!
this was taken at an antique mall type place in virginia. are they forcing people to listen to crappy music forever? and i think this also might count as a passive agressive note, don't you think?
