i came across this image as i was researching plants of the canary islands. the title of the image was "a portrait of amber". i guess this is amber. i kinda love her. i researched the blog that this was linked to for the story behind amber and came across this guy! i love him too. he gives sauce a run for his money. sorry neffs!
i love this so much. too bad it's $4,500. the artist is ben shahn. check it. speaking of supermarkets, zach and i just went the other day, spent $187 and still don't seem to have anything to eat...
some friends and i went to see the gee's bends quilts exibit at the philadelphia art museum today. it was really awesome and i definitely recommend checking it out sometimes. and for those of you who are on a budget, sundays' admissions is "donate what you wish". for more information on the gee's bend quilts, go here. this exibit inspired me to finally make that quilt i've been thinking about. we'll see if i actually follow through with it!
while blog-hopping i came across this beautiful rendition on radiohead's creep by scala and the kolacny brothers. it makes me happy. have a listen here.
someone brought in a barrel of cheese balls on friday. as of yesterday the entire thing was cleaned out. and not just by me (although i did have more than my fair share). it looks like other people in the office love these things as much as i do. once, kate's mom gave me a barrel just like this for christmas. best christmas ever. photo credit : sheena allen
this website gets me laughing so hard no matter how many times i've looked at it. my sister and i almost peed our pants the first time we looked at it together. so mean. so good.
z.w. - "i had this crazy dream that i was batman during world war 2"
j.g. - "really? wow. my dream was super boring. i was teaching justin how to install firefox. i woke up bored. i actually woke up early because i just didn't feel dreaming anymore."
it seems like every office has some kind of food bandit. this is awesomely bizarre because someone opened sarita's drink, drank 3/4 of it and then left it in the fridge. weird. photo credit - josh lane. for other passive aggressive notes check out passiveaggressivenotes.com
this is my friend megan's cat. the picture doesn't really do her justice. she is huge and pretty awesome. she looks like a foot stool with a head. she makes me laugh every time i look at her.
we saw this guy at the hamburger festival in hamburg pa this weekend. he's pretty much the best thing i've ever seen. there could be a real market for this type of fashion.
